When AMD comes up with best CPU efficiency and performance, Intel has the best GPU pairings. The new generation AMD processors only come paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 at the max, but Intel machine shines as it comes paired with the best Nvidia GPUs in the market.

At less than 1400USD, you cannot get a machine which has this level of GPU performance as this machine. GL65 weighs at just 2.3kg which is very light for a laptop with this performance. It looks and feels premium but its design may look somewhat gamer-y.

That may be a matter of preference but what is not upto preference is the 144hz 96%srgb screen you get with this beast. Once you are used to 144hz screen, you will feel the lag while using 60hz panels even when you’re just moving the cursor in windows. It’s just so much better.

Since the battery life on this laptop may not last you the whole work day, you are probably better off carrying your laptop charger with you the whole time. In games like Fortnite, this laptop can give you a very playable frame rate of around 55 in 1080p Low settings with textures set to high. Fps will significantly improve if you lower resolutions.

The CPU is based on AMD’s new 7nm processors meaning it is one of the best chips in the market which is very efficient and very fast. For around 700$, you get this laptop that can act as a tablet, can game decently and is ultra-portable.

If you don’t play intense games that require a high-end dedicated GPU and don’t want to spend a lot of money, this laptop is for you!

Lenovo Legion 5 AMD

Lenovo Legion 5 AMD

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB | RAM: 8 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare, 250 nits, 120Hz | Weight: 2.5kg (5.51 lbs) | Battery Life: 7hr | Storage: 512 GB PCIe SSD + 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD

Good Battery Life
Good Performance
120hz Refresh Rate
3200MHz RAM
A lot of Storage

Low Color Accuracy
Little Heavy
Dim Display

Lenovo’s newly released Legion 5 laptop comes packing with a punch. The normal Legion 5 are AMD versions and Legion 5i are intel versions. Since AMD have amazed everyone greatly with their performance on their new chips, it’s a no brainer to not have this laptop in this article.

The specifications mentioned above comes at a price of just over $800 which is a bargain considering it has a good amount of RAM, 120hz display, GTX 1650, ryzen 5 4600H and a lot of storage. This is for you if you are looking for a budget laptop which has all the good things like battery, storage and performance.

It does come in the heavier side, so consider that. It also does not suit you if you are planning to do graphic designing in this laptop because it has only 67% sRGB which is below the recommended, as colors are not accurate. However, it will not affect you to the slightest if you don’t have graphic intensive work. It is a bargain at its price!

Acer Nitro 5

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 | RAM: 8 GB DDR4 | Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS | Weight: 2.4kg (5.3 lbs) | Battery Life: 10hr | Storage: 256 GB SSD

Pros Cons

Great Battery Life
Good Performance
New AMD CPU
3200MHz RAM
Little Fan Noise

Single Stick 8GB RAM
Little Heavy
Bezels
Not alot of Storage

All these specs and it only costs around $600-$700 in the current market. It is an absolute beast for money. This laptop can run most games in medium or higher graphics settings with at least 60 FPS while keeping the laptop cool. The max fan speed is not as noticeable as others. It can handle anything you throw at it.

The screen is not 144hz but it is pretty bright at 300 nits and it is good enough for gaming but if you work in graphics related topics then be aware of its 60% sRGB which is not enough. Its looks are in obsidian black which will be suitable for a work environment. The weight weighs around 2.4KG(5.3lbs.) which is on the heavier side of our list but not too heavy to carry around.

The battery life is amazing unlike most gaming laptops because of the AMD CPU. It can provide you upto 10hrs with normal work which is ideal considering you won’t have to carry its charger to work making it lighter. If you can handle the weight and weak build, it is the perfect gaming and work laptop at a budget.
